I'm planning to buy Skoda Octavia, which engine?

Hi!

I'm planning to buy Skoda Octavia after 2009 (face lift) combi, but I really don't know which engine?

The most important thing for me is reliability, I heard about 1.8 160km T but i want to know Your opinion,

Which will be the worst engine?

There's no exact science to determine what will be the best or worst engine, you have engines wich are kept healthy by the previous owner, and engines wich have ran on the same old oil for too long and suffered internal damage that will cause problems on the long term. It's also important to know if the car has been Dealer serviced all the time, that can make a difference to. Skoda had some issues with engines in the past, chain and oil issues mainly, you can find those engines true Google or this forum.

The 1.8 you heard about, is that a Diesel or Gasoline?
