Skoda in Europe comes ready with Mio mount
At an auto show in Europe, Skoda unveiled new models that will have an optional mount for Mio Moov GPS navigation systems. The mounts are to the left of the steering wheel where it doesn’t obstruct your view and completely avoids cables as it charges the units when mounted. This way you’ll also have your cigarette lighter available for other uses and it possibly won’t block cup holders that are usually right below the charger. The Skoda models to offer this feature are the Fabia, Fabia Kombi and Roomster.
The only missing feature is that the GPS navigation system does not utilize the sound system already available in your car. However the GPS navigation system is still portable allowing you to move it from one vehicle to another.
The price of this option would be of 249 € without installation and 299 € with installation. It is already available this month; October 2008.
