Stoelbekleding leder in Techpakket Style Business - any good?

Hello,

(Sorry for writing in English, my Dutch is still work-in-progress - though I can read it).

I'm choosing a configuration for an Octavia Style Business, and I was wondering if to get the Techpakket with the fake leather, or just go with the standard seats that come with Style Business.

Unfortunately, the dealers I visited around Den Haag didn't have in showroom any cars with the Techpakket seats. Can anyone share any experience about the differences between the two? Any pictures?


(I'm not considering the Dynamic seats, they seem a bit too firm and personally I don't fancy the non-adjustable head-rest. Nor do I want to pay the price for real leather - looks good, but too expensive).

Welcome @sebastian_paul First maybe you understand, maybe not: it is appreciated when new members will introduce themself at the meet&greet part of the forum. (just clicking on the green text will take you there). Just to help you with the work-in-progress (talking/writing Dutch) I will continue in Dutch.

Helaas kan ik je niet verder helpen met je vraag, de inhoud van die verschillende pakketten en verschillende modellen is te veel aan verandering onderhevig. Voor je gaat bestellen, wil ik je wel een advies geven: ga niet akkoord met een bestelorder waar alleen pakketten op staan, maar vraag (of eis) dat alle opties die onder een pakket vallen met name worden genoemd. Het is in het verleden al vaker gebeurd dat iemand een auto met een bepaald pakket had besteld vanwege een bepaalde optie die in het pakket zat bij bestellen. Vervolgens wordt door importeur/fabrikant tussen het moment van bestellen en afleveren de inhoud van dat pakket veranderd, en zit nu juist de optie waar het om gaat niet meer in het pakket op het moment van afleveren. Als je de opties die onder een pakket vallen op het contract hebt staan, kun je daar altijd op terugvallen, en zal de dealer dat voor je op moeten lossen.

Als een dealer een auto wil verkopen, kan hij je ook informeren waar wél zo'n auto met Techpakket stoelen staat, of mogelijk zelfs regelen dat die even ter bezichtiging bij de dealer staat.

Edit: als ik het goed lees, is een Octavia Style Business met Techpakket per definitie een auto met stoelen met leren bekleding. De stoelvorm is niet anders dan de auto zonder Techpakket, alleen de bekleding is leer. Ik zie ook dat een Octavia Style Business met techpakket, alleen keuze biedt uit voorraadmodellen. Dat laatste betekent dus dat je niet willekeurig een auto kunt samenstellen, maar een keuze moet maken uit de nog beschikbare voorraad.

I tried to order the Techpakket last month and it was sold out, it is only available on stock cars, of which they barely have any. No black combi models at least.

I have the Leather/Alcantara techpakket seats in my car (which is almost 1,5 years old by now, so not the best example) and I do like the seats. You don't tend to slide around on the alcantara. I believe the shape of the seats isn't any different from the regular seats (but I'm not 100% sure), so/but don't expect miracles there.

As a side note: I don't like the 18" wheels included with the techpakket on my car, due to the very low tires you lose a bit of comfort. I'm not sure if the wheels are still included in the package.
