Kijk, zo gek is het dus ook weer niet. Las dit op het Britse Up owners forum:
Hello Bobcat01,
Your story sounds very similar to mine. Had a mk2 golf and a couple of minis over the years. Very nearly bought a mk8 R, but opted for a Cupra Formentor due to the aesthetics. Had it for 10 months & managed to only complete 2500 miles during my ownership. It just sat outside the house, but that was due mainly to my inability to get to grips with the infuriating technology. I ended up hating the thing.
The chap that looks after the VW heritage fleet (Dom) bought it for their Cupra dealership. Fortunately didn't lose anything due to silly prices of second hand cars.
Replaced the Cupra with the UP Gti 2 weeks ago, and just loving it. I had originally ordered an UP when they first went on sale back in early 2018, but after 10 months the car still hadn't arrived and had to buy something else instead.
So pleased i've managed to finally scratch the UP gti itch.It really does put a smile on my face when I see it each morning. The interior tech (lack of) doesn't stress me out. It's just simple fun, with the added benefit of very low running costs.
Mark.
